PLTW Flight and Space Upgrade!

I recently returned from my training the Project Lead the Way Flight and Space training. Learned a ton and had a blast with the hands on learning that my students will be doing in the fall. Projects like the tetrahedral kite, water rockets and a balsa glider are fantastic opportunities for students to gain skills and master concepts of flight and design.

A bonus for students in my school is that I have a pair of Oculus Rift VR rigs. I wrote a grant for them based on Virtual Clay where we use the rift as a design to in my 3D modeling module.

The more I worked with the VR equipment the more modules I found I could apply it to. Flight and space is another one as there is a ISS simulation that you can explore and interact with.  Check out the video below and then track down your grant resources to try to add your own!
